  1. Cut the broccoli into florets and peel and slice the stem.
  2. Heat the oil in a large deep skillet over moderate heat and add the broccoli, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  3. Saute 6 to 8 minutes, stirring frequently, until the broccoli is tender but crisp.
  4. Add the vinegar and anchovies and serve immediately.
Recipe Notes

I often include fried bacon for a meatier version otherwise this is an easy vegetarian recipe. Either way it is gorgeous.
