The pesto:
Instructions
  1. Combine the tomatoes and boiling water in a small bowl and allow to steep for 10 minutes.
  2. Drain the tomatoes, reserving the liquid.
  3. Combine the tomatoes and the remaining pesto ingredients in an electric blender or food processor.
  4. Process until a smooth paste is formed, adding as much of the reserved water as necessary.
  5. Toss with the hot pasta and serve garnished with pine nuts and basil.
  6. Serve Immediately
